Shoot Wales Competition
19 Feb 2009The Festivals Company has been invited by Visit Wales to coordinate an exciting new competition called Shoot Wales.
Visit Wales is looking for the next series of short films to attract UK holiday-makers to Wales in 2009. The current series of films can be seen on their website at www.visitwales.co.uk.
Student and graduate filmmakers from universities in Wales are asked to submit their films of 3 minutes or less. Films can be animation or live action shot on any format.
First Prize consists of:
- a £2000 career development fund for the individual or team that submits the winning film
- one week’s work experience at top advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy (one of the biggest advertising agencies in the world who came up with the slogan Just do it for Nike!) for the Director only, plus £500 travel and subsistence bursary
- the winning credited film to be hosted on www.visitwales.co.uk
The four Runner-up prizes consist of:
- a £500 career development fund for the individual or team that submits each film
- the credited film to be hosted on www.visitwales.co.uk
The submission deadline is April 30th, 2009.
