Ffresh at Swn!

The short-lists for the Ffresh Awards 2009 were announced during the opening night of the Sŵn music festival on Thursday, November 13th at the Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre, National Museum of Wales in Cardiff.

Organised by Radio One’s Huw Stephens and John Rostron, Sŵn is an ambitious music festival which aims to unite a wide variety of arts and music venues throughout Cardiff for 3 days of gigs, debates and exhibitions.

"Sŵn has many similarities to Ffresh in that it celebrates and showcases new talent across a range of disciplines so we’re delighted to be collaborating with the festival to announce the 2009 shortlists" said Festival Coordinator, James Nee.

The short-lists were announced by Adam Price, MP for Carmarthen East and Dinefwr and a member of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee. The evening also included an exclusive acoustic set by Cate Le Bon and an attempt to conduct the biggest ever Sleeve Face group photograph, see photo above by Mission Photograhic.com

Ffresh is produced by The Festivals Company for Ffresh Ltd. The 2009 Festival will take place in Aberystwyth from 11 – 13 February 2009.
