Cardiff's Indian Food Festival 2009
1 - 31 Mar 2009Cardiff’s Indian Food Festival returns for a third outing in 2009. Produced by The Festivals Company the month long event will take place from 1 – 31 March 2009.
Cookery demonstrations, Help a South Wales Child Charity Dinner (2008 event pictured above and right), food master classes, wine tasting and the unveiling of the 2009 Cardiff Curry are just some of the highlights of Cardiff’s Indian Food Festival 2009.
Six of the Capital’s best Indian restaurants have come together to present a feast for the senses throughout March with each preparing a special menu during the festival to delight even the most jaded of palette. The principal restaurants for 2009 are the Spice Merchant and Spice Route.
Festival organiser Berwyn Rowlands said, "Visit any of the restaurants and you can also try out the 2009 Cardiff Curry that will be available throughout the festival. What is in it? Find out by visiting the restaurants and discover the city’s new signature dish for 2009."
Each of the restaurants has special events planned during the month so customers can not only learn more about our most popular food, try something new and discover the remarkably diverse and high quality cuisine that is on offer but also to join in the fun.
The festival is sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government, True Taste and the Red Dragon Centre.
