£3,000 for Charity!
2 Apr 2008Cardiff’s Indian Food Festival 2008 came to a spectacular finale on Monday 31st March with a Gala Dinner to raise money for Red Dragon’s Help a South Wales Child.
150 guests were treated to a special menu, which included the Cardiff Curry, devised and cooked by the five partner
restaurants. Jason Harrold from Red Dragon FM (pictured above) stayed up late to host the event in the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay, and The Gareth Hall Quintet were on hand to entertain the guests with some classic jazz.
"The evening proved to be the perfect way to bring the 2008 Festival to a close and raised an impressive £3,000 for charity. All of our partners, including the five partner restaurants and everyone at Red Dragon FM and the Red Dragon Centre, have worked very hard to make the event a huge success and now it’s become a highlight in the Capital’s programme of winter events," said Berwyn Rowlands from the Festivals Company.
Cardiff’s Indian Food Festival will return in 2009. For more information contact Berwyn.
