Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM, opera singer Rebecca Evans (pictured above right) and food writer and brodcaster Angela Grey where three of the five lucky individuals to taste the Cardiff Curry for the first time. The group were brought together by the Festivals Company for an exclusive photo shoot for the Western Mail’s Saturday Magazine.

The Cardiff Curry, a new healthy vegetarian delight, has been devised by the five partner restaurants that are part of Cardiff’s Indian Food Festival 2008. The final photo featured on the cover and across 5 pages inside the magazine.

"Bringing together five busy individuals to one location is quite difficult, but mention curry and a brand new one at that and life got a little easier," said Berwyn Rowlands, Festivals Company.

"The atmosphere during the shoot was relaxed and luckily the Cardiff Curry scored 43 points out of 50," he added.

The photos were also accompanied by Catherine Jones’s article "A bit of slap and tikka" which you can read here.
